About the role:
This role will be reporting directly to the Cleaning Supervisor, the Operative will be responsible for the day-to-day running and supervision of specialist cleaning operations, including window cleaning, environmental cleaning and clearance, and specialist internal and external cleaning, often involving work at height. The role requires ensuring services are delivered and maintained to the highest standards, monitoring compliance with customer satisfaction and operational targets, and promoting best Health and Safety practices at all times. Key responsibilities include delivering high-quality service, communicating effectively with customers, meeting deadlines, escalating issues to the Supervisor when necessary, and ensuring the correct and safe use of equipment in line with PUWER regulations. The Operative will also be expected to investigate and utilise new technology, comply with Health and Safety training and regulations, and complete all required paperwork. In addition, the role involves undertaking learning and development as part of personal reviews, adhering to company policies on equalities, health and safety, data protection, and other relevant legislation, while remaining flexible to carry out other duties as requested by the line manager.
The ideal candidate will hold a full driving licence and have proven cleaning experience, including clinical and specialist cleaning. They must be an excellent communicator, able to understand both verbal and written instructions, and demonstrate strong teamwork skills while also working independently when required. Attention to detail, reliability, good timekeeping, and flexibility are essential qualities. Candidates should also be dependable and committed to maintaining high standards of service. Desirable skills and qualifications include experience with water-fed telescopic window cleaning poles, water purifying systems, traditional window cleaning, and the use of buffer and carpet machinery. Additional desirable training includes IPAF, PASMA, harness training, working at height, step and ladder safety, manual handling, BICSc training, and IOSH Working Safely. Previous experience in a similar role would be advantageous.

• 25 days annual leave, rising by a day each year until 30 days is reached. Plus 8 bank holidays and a Christmas shut down period.
This role is for 37 hours per week, but to ensure flexibility and promote an inclusive workplace part time hours or a job share agreement will be considered.
